How does it work?

  • At-home self-collection: Perform the oral swab and activate it online using the QR code.
  • Simple shipping: Place the tube in the kit and send it using the included prepaid envelope. The solution preserves the sample at room temperature, without the need for cold chain logistics.
  • Analysis and report: The laboratory performs DNA extraction and metagenomic shotgun sequencing; the interpreted report will be available online within 3–4 weeks.

Why choose?

  • The oral cavity is the gateway to the digestive ecosystem; analyzing it allows for the identification of ecosystem alterations before they impact the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Precisely identify bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa with resolution down to the species level, overcoming the limitations of traditional culture methods.
  • Identify the presence of genetic determinants linked to antimicrobial resistance.

Who is it for?

  • People with recurring periodontal or gum issues
  • Those with persistent halitosis not resolved by standard hygiene practices.
  • Patients with implants, orthodontic appliances, or prostheses
  • Dentists and dental hygienists who wish to personalize prevention plans for their patients.
  • Those who wish to complete the picture of their intestinal ecosystem with an analysis of the upper digestive tract.

Disclaimer

  • Nature of the examination and medical non-substitutability: The test analyzes the composition of the oral microbiome exclusively for cognitive, educational, and lifestyle and wellness personalization support purposes. It does not constitute a direct clinical diagnosis, does not identify pathologies, and does not in any way replace dental examinations, dental hygiene sessions, or diagnostic swabs prescribed by a physician or dentist.
  • Therapeutic planning and use of data: The information contained in the report, including the analysis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes and virulence factors (VF), is for purely informational research/wellness purposes. It does not constitute a medical prescription or an indication for self-administration of medications (including antibiotics, antifungals, or antiparasitics). The evaluation of the data and any potential planning of treatments are the sole responsibility of the attending physician or specialist.
  • Temporary contraindications: To ensure the accuracy of the microbiome analysis, the test is not indicated if antibiotic medications have been taken in the 4 weeks prior to the procedure. The waiting period extends to 8 weeks in the case of meropenem, gentamicin, or vancomycin intake.
