How does it work?

  • Single shipment: Receive all Danastool kits in one box at your home address.
  • Self-sampling and registration: Each family member performs the fecal self-sampling. Each sample is activated online by linking it to the respective medical history profile.
  • Analysis and cross-reading: Each sample is processed and reported independently by the laboratory; the specialist interpretation will take into account the relationship between the profiles, evaluating shared elements and maternal transmission.
  • Reporting: Receipt of separate digital reports via email within 4–5 weeks. Single shipment: Receive all Danastool kits in one box at your home address.

Why choose?

  • Systemic family view: The comparative analysis of profiles offers contextual information that no single test can produce.
  • Cost-effectiveness: Savings increase as more kits are included in the package.
  • Assessment of maternal transmission: A valuable investigation for understanding the initial microbial imprint in children.

Who is it for?

  • Mothers and children presenting with similar or overlapping digestive or gastrointestinal symptoms.
  • Families with a history of bowel disorders, intolerances, or recurrent atopy.
  • Children with complex clinical or neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g., PANS/PANDAS, autism spectrum disorders, severe dysbiosis) in whom the maternal flora profile is relevant for clinical assessment.

Disclaimer

  • Non-substitutability of medical evaluation: The report provided is for informational, educational, and lifestyle/dietary personalization support purposes only. The analytical test does not in itself constitute a formal clinical diagnosis, does not independently identify pathologies, and does not in any case replace the advice, examination, or prescription of a primary care physician, pediatrician, or specialist.
  • Absence of direct therapeutic indications: The analytical results do not provide therapeutic prescriptions or indications for the self-administration of medications (including antibiotics, antifungals, or antiparasitics) or supplements. Any change to the therapeutic or nutritional regimen must take place under the direct supervision of a healthcare professional.
  • Interpretation of resistance (AMR) and virulence (VF) genes: The mapping of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes and virulence factors (VF) is intended as analytical research and microbial wellness data. Any clinical assessment and related therapeutic planning are the exclusive responsibility of a medical specialist.
  • Temporary contraindications and interference factors: To ensure the reliability and accuracy of the metagenomic profile, the performance of the test is subject to the following waiting periods:
  • Standard antibiotic therapies: the analysis is not indicated if antibiotic medications have been taken in the 4 weeks prior to sample collection.
  • Broad-spectrum or hospital-use antibiotics: the waiting period is extended to at least 8 weeks in case of previous use of meropenem, gentamicin, vancomycinor similar molecules.
  • It is also recommended to clearly indicate any recent use of prokinetics, laxatives, corticosteroids, or antifungals in the online medical history form.
