How does it work?

  • Receipt of the all-in-one kit: Conveniently receive the box containing both the vaginal swab and the Danastool fecal tube at home.
  • Self-collection and online registration: Perform both self-collections at home in total autonomy and without the need for clinical visits. Register and activate the samples by scanning the QR codes.
  • Send the samples using the provided prepaid envelope. The stabilizing media ensure perfect DNA stability at room temperature without the need for a cold chain.
  • Analysis and sequencing: The laboratory performs the extraction and shotgun metagenomic sequencing in parallel on both sites.
  • Receive the complete and explanatory digital report via email within 4–5 weeks.

Why choose?

  • Systemic and synergistic approach: Recognizes the gut-vagina axis as a single functional entity; analyzing only one area in the presence of recurring symptoms can provide an incomplete picture.
  • Beyond traditional culture-based diagnostics: Identifies microbial species that cannot be cultured in the laboratory, reducing the risk of false negatives and integrating the fungal component and resistance genes within the same sample.
  • Absolute convenience and practicality: Offers combined analysis at advantageous economic terms compared to separate individual tests, removing access barriers thanks to dual at-home self-sampling.
  • The tool of choice for specialized in-depth analysis: Provides reproducible, high-resolution data, ideal as support for the gynecologist, gastroenterologist, and nutritionist.

Who is it for?

  • Recurrent intimate and uro-genital disorders: Itching, burning, vaginitis, vaginosis, candidiasis, or persistent and refractory cystitis despite repeated pharmacological or antifungal treatments.
  • Individuals with a history of prolonged pharmacological therapies: Those who have taken repeated cycles of antibiotics or antifungals that have depleted the intestinal and vaginal flora.
  • Women undergoing fertility treatments or ART: Optimization of the uterine/vaginal environment and nutritional absorption in preparation for pregnancy or Assisted Reproductive Technology.
  • Hormonal transition phases: Women in the postpartum, perimenopause, or menopause stages, where endocrine changes impact microbiome stability.
  • Specialized second-level support: Gynecologists, gastroenterologists, and reproductive medicine centers requiring broad-spectrum investigation into complex cases.

Disclaimer

  • Diagnostic complementarity: This test is an advanced metagenomic profiling of the microbial ecosystem and is intended to be complementary to, and not a substitute for, specific molecular investigations for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).
  • Non-substitutability of medical evaluation: The provided report has analytical, cognitive, and informative value. The test does not constitute an autonomous medical diagnosis, does not directly identify specific pathologies, and does not provide pharmacological indications or prescriptions.
  • Specialist framework: The interpretation of integrated data and any therapeutic or integrative decisions must be discussed with your primary care physician, gynecologist, or relevant specialist.
  • Temporary contraindications: It is recommended not to perform the vaginal swab during menstruation, within 2–3 days following unprotected intercourse, or during topical therapies (ovules, suppositories, douches). For the fecal sample, an antibiotic suspension of at least 4 weeks is required (8 weeks for specific broad-spectrum antibiotics).
